Best study spots in Madrid

Lucky for us, Madrid is full of quiet libraries and coffee shops that can be perfect for studying, group work, and essay writing.

Here are our best places to study:

Google Campus

Calle Moreno Nieto, 2

Madrid is home to one of six Google campuses around the world! With two floors, free fast Wi-Fi, and a great cafe offering healthy options, they have all the essentials for a long study session. We love their collaborative workspaces, which are perfect for group projects. However, you need to be a member to be able to use this space.

Panela & Co.

€€

Calle de López de Hoyos, 10

A short distance from the IEU Madrid campus, Panela & Co. is a great place to catch up on your readings or get started on your next project. Please note that this cafe is a favorite among our students, so it gets quite busy at midday.

Toma Café Olavide

Calle Sta. Feliciana, 5

Just off the gorgeous Plaza Olavide, this is the beloved specialty roaster's second location to expand on its original Malasaña headquarters. Here, you will find some of the best coffee (and latte art!) in the city. In addition to free lightning-fast Wi-Fi, they offer a relaxed atmosphere that will put you right into study mode.

Rebel Café

€€

Calle de Ponzano, 90

With delicious coffee and cakes, it's not hard to see why Rebel Café deserves a spot on this list! Its modern and relaxed atmosphere makes this Madrid café the perfect place to prepare a group presentation or catch up on work over the weekend. They also have an amazing selection of craft beer, in case your study session runs longer than expected.

Monkee Koffee

€€

Calle Vallehermoso, 112

This is without a doubt one of the most welcoming cafes in Chamberí! With an unbeatable customer service, they offer amazing coffee (you can also buy their brand to make at home) as well as some scrumptious baked goods. Exposed brick, long wooden tables, and a leather sofa make this an elegant and comfortable place to spend an afternoon.

Bocados Café

Calle de José Ortega y Gasset, 55

Bocados is bright, modern, and student-friendly with affordable prices and plenty of small tables that are perfect for work. They offer coffee and snacks as well as full meals, so you never have to worry about your stomach interrupting your study. Try a big slice of red velvet cake to go with your next task and take advantage of unlimited Wi-Fi, no password required!
