Madrid is a great European capital, and it is so big and the accommodation offer is so varied that it can be a bit overwhelming to decide where to live. There are neighbourhoods that are made for families, others that are ideal for workers who need to be close to offices, and others that are perfect for students. The most important thing for a student is to have access to universities and libraries while being able to travel downtown when looking for entertainment.
- Moncloa: This neighbourhood is considered the university neighbourhood since the Complutense University is located here. It is not located in the center so it is not too noisy and chaotic, however, you will find students in any cafe or bar you go to.

- Malasaña: This neighbourhood is always full of atmosphere, art galleries, hidden bars on every corner, second-hand shops and hundreds of corners. It is one of the favorite areas for students if they are looking for a party. If you are looking for tranquility, stay away! It is a neighbourhood that never sleeps.

- La Latina: This neighbourhood is accessible to students as there are many old buildings looking for residents. This makes it one of the best neighbourhoods for students in Madrid. In addition, it is characterized by its gastronomic offer, here you will find many bars and restaurants where you can enjoy some tapas or a snack.

- Chamberí: It is the smallest district of Madrid and has become one of the most populated and demanded areas of the capital. Close to sports facilities, green areas and an important commercial area. It is ideal for lovers of sports and quiet life. In addition, it has very good communications, both with the center and with the universities.

- Sol: Ten percent of Erasmus students live here, so it is the ideal neighbourhood for you if you are looking for an intercultural and different environment. It is an area similar to Malasaña, both in price and atmosphere, since it is also a neighbourhood that never sleeps. Whether for tourists or students, in Sol you will never get bored.
