Transfer from the airport to Valencia
Valencia airport is 8 km from the city, therefore it is relatively close to the city center. There are several options to get to the center, some more comfortable and others more affordable. The city is very well connected by public transport, so you can travel to any part of the city from the airport and vice versa.
Metro: For many this is the best option. It is undoubtedly an easy and cheap option, and the journey takes around 20 minutes, but if you already have the public transport card of the community of Valencia, the ticket will cost you 3,90€. If you still don't have it when you arrive (most likely), it will cost you 4,90€. From the airport, you can take 2 metro lines: 3 or 5. Both go directly to the center so you can use the one that suits you best. The metro leaves the airport every 15 minutes between 6 in the morning and 12:30 at night, so you can only use it if you arrive during the day.
Bus: Bus line 150 connects the airport directly with the center of Valencia and with other surrounding towns. It is taken outside T1, on the arrivals sidewalk. It is the cheapest option, the ticket costs 1,45€ and the journey takes about 30 minutes. It leaves every 30 minutes between 5:30 and 22:30, so the schedule is even shorter than the metro.
Taxi: This is clearly the most comfortable option! The Valencia airport taxi spot is in the arrivals area of Terminal 1, as is the bus stop. There, you will find taxis at any time, so it is the perfect option if you arrive at dawn or are in a hurry and are worried about the schedules and the time it will take to take public transport. There are several rates, depending on the area you want to go to, and the time you take the taxi.
